  I was at your store this morning. I shop there almost every week and we have spent thousands of dollars there. I walked up to the meat counter today to buy two filet mignons. The incompetent man behind the counter had his earbuds in and he was packing seafood for the display case. He was handling lobster tails and oysters with gloves on. He looked directly at me multiple times and went right back to what he was doing. He didn't acknowledge me once. After standing there for 5 minutes he finally walked over and said what do you need. I told him I wanted two filet mignons. He proceeded to grab the tray of them from the case without changing his gloves that he had been handling raw food with. He grabbed the two steaks I wanted and wrapped them up and said anything else. I still can't believe what happened. That is extremely unsanitary and I'm sure there was cross-contamination. Many of the employees at that store act like customers are an inconvenience. They do the same thing at the deli counter. They see you and absolutely ignore you. Something needs to be done about these worthless employees that don't care about the customers.

  I was in the area for work. I was standing in a self checkout line and there was an employee standing in the area. I was waiting over 5 minutes when a Karen G employed there was supposed to be managing the line and not the male employee that was standing there. Karen G was very rude to me. Said I needed to get in the back of the line. While I was standing there the only person I saw was the employee that I thought was working in the area not standing in line. Needless to say. I won’t be returning. As a small business owner that buys a lot of supplies for my business won’t be getting anymore products from this store. You need to work on customer service here.

  During our annual stay in Goodyear, we visited this Safeway almost on a daily basis. We were always greeted with friendly staff and what we needed was always stocked and available. Will always visit when we are in town.

  I would recommend going to the fry’s down on cotton. I was recently there and they only had the self checkout open while 3 workers stood at the customer service area on their phones and one of the staff had to tend to all the people in the self checkout. Unfortunately this type of service here is becoming the norm. It’s sad this is the only grocery store in the area.
