- ODOak Leaf D4 days ago3.0I have been going to this particular Safeway for over 20 years. The manager who used to be there and retired ran a wonderful store and the employees were friendly helpful with no attitude. In the last two or three years, the quality of the help has gone down. There are many pills working in the store , mainly women. The great guy in the liquor department told me to take a picture of the barcode that was offering a two dollar discount on each bottle of wine and when I got to the checkstand, the woman that was my checker had a hissy fit that she had to enter the information herself. She was unfriendly. She was mean to an old man in front of me and she really shouldn’t be working with people. The woman in the self check was helpful but cool as a cucumber no pun intended. Unfriendly, business like, and again should not be working with people. I have started going over to Sprouts because they are the people seem to like working there and seem to enjoy helping people . If the manager of the Safeway reads this review, you need to have a team meeting right away and you need to tell mainly the women in the store to lighten up put a smile on their face and be grateful they have jobs
