We finally went to the restaurant and found the food was only a set up from the air show, which was quite disappointing. The moist brisket was dryer than the one at the show! However, I can not express how amazing the staff is! From the moment we walked in to the time we left, every employee we encountered was kind, courteous, helpful, and happy. In this day and age, this is rare to experience. We may not be overly fond of the food, but if this is the Rudy's employee standard, we will gladly continue to support them.

It used to be my go-to spot for brisket in Arizona. But lately, the quality has nosedived. I have always order brisket moist with extra bark, but lately I’ve been getting brisket moist extra bark loaded with fat or so overcooked and dry that it makes my mom’s dry pot roast as a better alternative. It’s like the people cutting the meat either don’t care or are just guessing. I called to talk to the manager once and she acted like I should be grateful just to get what I got. No real apology, no accountability — just attitude. The final straw was today. I bragged to my brother about Rudy’s brisket and decided to drive 40 minutes out of my way to get dinner for the family to go, forgetting about my recent disappointments. When I got home, I found the driest, most disappointing brisket I’ve ever had, I kid you not it was like I was eating beef jerky! Thankfully, the coke and potato salad helped wash down my brisket burnt sandwich. Bottom line: Rudy’s is AWESOME when they get it right, but the inconsistency and poor customer service are making it hard to justify the trip. They’re starting to feel more like a fast-food chain that’s lost its pride.
