  The location was convenient and the restaurant was clean. This was my first time going to Portillos so I think I ordered incorrectly, I ordered a hot beef sandwich with peppers and cheese cheese and they forgot the peppers. I also waited to eat until I got home which was a huge mistake, that sandwich should definitely be eaten immediately. I also had fries they were crispy and cooked perfectly. I had nacho cheese sauce to dip my fries in, it was hot and yummy. I would definitely order it again. I will be back and order something new for my main.

  Stop in because I had been craving an Italian Beef. Needless to say I was definitely satisfied with the service. Naomi was wonderful. The Big Beef Italian Beef was everything I was expecting. I ate half immediately. I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone who hasn't had it. I guarantee you'll be hooked. Keep up the good work. I will be coming back really soon.

  Food is above average, speed of service is always slow no matter the time of day. The only reason I started coming back was for that burger bundle, and now that's gone. Didn't know it was gone until I got to the drive thru and the drive thru employee seemed happy I was disappointed it was discontinued so I'll be sure to make this the last stop for a little while. Until a new meal deal is offered as good as the burger bundle was.

  I've been here twice and had the charbroiled chicken sandwich and an Italian sausage both times. I enjoyed the sandwich both times. The first time I had a garden side salad, which was quite good. It came with cucumbers which is a huge plus for me. The Ranch dressing however was underwhelming. I had onion rings the second time and those are very good. I was really disappointed in the Italian sausage the first time, but decided to give it one more try and was just as disappointed the second time. It came out quite burned and dry both times. The 2nd time I took it back to the counter and asked if I could get one not so burned. I was told it's corporate policy to cook them for a certain amount of time, and it's normal for them to be charred. The gentleman checked the grill to see if one looked less burned, but said they were all the same. The atmosphere is pretty cool, and it's fast food so the service was as good as can be expected. I will continue to eat there, just won't be ordering the Italian sausage again. It's a nice break from the really big chain fast food places. The people are friendly and the food was actually fast.

  Visited Portillo's while in Gilbert. The atmosphere was lively and spacious, and the service was efficient, though the ordering process felt a bit unclear. Who doesn’t love a new spot — it’s a big space, and while I’ve been to the downtown Chicago location which has that nostalgic charm, this one is honestly nicer and more polished. Tried the Italian beef — good value, and while the taste was decent, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The ordering was a bit confusing as I expected it to automatically come with giardiniera, and had to go back up to ask for it. Overall, a solid option locally, but not quite on the level of Al's #1 Italian Beef — still, it’s what we have here. Saluti.
