  My husband and I decided to try Portillo’s since we just moved to a neighboring area, and we were disappointed with the meal. I ordered and got the Spicy Chop salad, which was a bowl of what seemed like a bag of shredded iceberg lettuce from walmart, a couple pieces of crispy chicken which was good, and some canned diced tomatoes/jalepeños. I was disappointed considering it was a $14 salad for something I could’ve picked up at Walmart’s grab-n-go section. My husband got a veggie dog which is great they offer, but it was cold. Overall too expensive for what is received, and we waited 20 minutes during a non-busy time.

  I had an amazing experience at Portillo’s! From the moment we walked in, everything was on point — the food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great, but what truly made the visit stand out was CADE. CADE was hands down the best! Professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made sure everything was right with our order and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. It’s rare to see that level of customer service, and it definitely didn’t go unnoticed. If you’re stopping by, I highly recommend it and if CADE is there, you’re in great hands! 🔥👏

  Jacob, Sydney and Camila & the rest of crew working on 2/23/26 are GREAT!! The counter service was very professional. Jacob working in the dunning room is articulate and does an exceptional job keeping the dinning room clean and stocked. Thank you to all at Gilbert Portillos. 😃

  All the food here was pretty average to be honest. It’s worth trying but don’t expect an insane burger. I will say for fries, burger, chili dog and a drink the price was reasonable. The place inside was sick though, booths were nice and everything seemed cleaned. Pretty big as well. Lowk the burger was NOT that big either. Smaller than a whopper from burger king, kinda just medium size. It’s a nice place and worth going to forsure.

  I got a Italian Beef with sweet and hot peppers as well as a Bacon Cheeseburger and both were excellent reminding me of that Portillos Chicago taste. Ordering was quick and easy and food pickup was quick. I recommend this location over the Tempe location. A+++++. Will be back for more!
