  This location did a great job with my order, but, the map is currently wrong! The map is indicating Portillo’s Gilbert is located where the Discount Tire Co is currently actively doing business. In reality, Portillo’s is across the street to the West, South of Whataburger. I have submitted a request for correction :)

  We do love Portillo’s (having moved to AZ from the Chicago area decades ago), but I will always ask for my burger without lettuce from now on. This piece with the wilting and black edges should not have been used. You need to step up your game, P’s!!

  I Love Portillo's and being a Midwest native now residing in AZ this is the ONE place I can get GREAT Italian beef sandwiches! The fish sandwiche became a favorite as well since I really don't care for fish sandwiches at other places. I'm disappointed bcs I went to order a fish sandwich as it was so small like Gordon Fishermans small where as it used to be nearly bursting out the bun. The portions on the Italian beef was a bit skinny as well. 🫤

  In Early October during the Cubs short lived playoff run I swung by this Portillo's to get two #2 combos (superstitious this would guarantee a victory). I got my order and drove the 20 minutes home (I live in Western most Chandler). When I got home I discovered both combos were missing the fries. Too far away to go back I called and spoke to a manager. After explaining the oversight he offered to send me a gift certificate for a free meal (good trade off). I just realized that I never received the gift certificate. If something is offered I expect it to be followed up on. This left a very negative opinion of this location for me.

  Me my mother and sister and infant nephew came in today for lunch' spent 52 dollars which included 1 piece of chocolate cake. My sis was told to grab one from the stand infant of the register which she forgot too and asked me to get it, immediately after I grabbed it the manager AMY came blazing up to our table accusing me of just stealing it and was super rude, and abrasive and ruined our whole dining experience. Im sure it was because of me being covered in tattoos and jumped to assumptions. When we got the cashier who rang us up and she told AMY we did pay for it and also told us to take 1 from the shelf upfront because they were the freshest, Mr. AMY didn't even apologize for the accusation. REALLY!!?? I think Amy should be definitely be fired, reprimanded or sent to some type of classes on customer service and relations. You dropped the ball big time today dude. This is not her first incident either, she told a woman that was speaking Spanish to her parents translating, AMY actually told her this is America speak English!? How is this person still employed by this company? I was born in Chicago and have been eating here since a child but this is unacceptable and if something isn't done it tells a lot about the business and what they will allow. Not letting this go, call it petty but that was some BS.
