  We came here to check out this highly recommended BBQ. The hours for today weren't updated on Google for them having moved everything to the fountain for a special event. Prior to us leaving another vehicle apprroached, checked the door, saw the sign and left as well. We decided to go to the fountain and the St. Patrick's event had concluded. We couldn't locate the truck. The business would have done better had they left some sort of food here. Lost opportunity.

  HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The owners/family were soooo kind to us...We were trying to order room service from a "resort" that said Batchelor served by come to find out NOPE (which I don't blame Batchelor for at all) and Mary was super kind to answer all my questions on the phone. We decided to make the trek in and came to the restaurant...Yummmmm I'm super glad we came in. I forgot to get his name but Mary's brother worked the cash register and showed us the cute family photos at the table; he even brought me refills on my soda & explained the bbq sauces to us as well... He was super nice & just has a great smile that makes you feel welcomed. The food: coleslaw was yummy, ribs were great as well (my country girl came out and I just ate all the meat with my fingers lol).. Hubby got the turkey, he was very happy & I even stole a couple pieces 😋 Brisket was TENDER and not too fatty. Everything was great... If we lived in Fountain Hills we would go more often. Thank you Batchelor family you made a crappy night turn in to a much better night with full tummies ❤️

  Wow. I should disclose I am a near expert barbeque taster and have had had great barbecue all over the US. Bachelor's Pad is as good as some of the best bbq I have had in TX. It was spectacular. I had the brisket and it was amazing. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. Atmosphere is nice. There is a full bar. The service was way above average. 100% yes go eat there.

  Stopped by Bachelor's pad BBQ, this evening after my walk around the fountain. I had a portion of the honey ribs, the potatoes salad and the cornbread to drink with it the sweet tea. I didn't notice what time they closed and arrived an hour before they did. It wasn't busy and being a Monday the place was pretty empty besides a handful of people including myself. The BBQ was delicious and satisfied my need for what I've been wanting on my evenings walks around town, the faint smell of BBQs which has been delightful but lingering until now. I enjoyed the potatoes salad and the cornbread too. I didn't stay long as they were closing and being in the restaurant business too I felt the need to let the employees get home at a good time. The service had a nice home touch feeling to it as it was family run. The portions were good and so was the price. Next time in I'll enjoy something else. I can see this place being very busy during FH events that we have from time to time. I suggest stopping by if the taste of a good BBQ hits you. It is definitely worth it!
