  Had a great experience at this location! Italian beef was delicious as always. Tried the strawberry shortcake for the first time and omgggg yum. Also got to sample the pasta for catering! Delicious!! Marley and Breyani were a delight to chat with while I was waiting for my order!

  It was great. I had a salad which was so fresh, delicious filling. I ended up taking some home. My spouse had the Chicago hot dogs with the fries and they were so good. Wish we could get a Portillo's in Maricopa. Service was quick, the food was served at the right temperature and the seating was comfortable. It was an enjoyable dining experience.

  I drove thru and ordered with the friendly staff outside and paid right there also. I enjoyed the personal touch and realize other places do the same but this was my 1st experience with that. Talked to the woman while waiting at door for my order which was the Italian beef sandwich and chop salad. Both very delicious..I told her how I enjoyed talking with person instead of thru speaker..when I received my order she told me she included a piece of their famous chocolate cake..I thought she was kidding cause I didn't order that but there it was and oh so delicious. Thank you so much for a great experience 💗

  I broke my own rule again… I don’t normally go to a new restaurant (even for chain) until they are open for at least 2 months. HOWEVER, for Portillo’s, I caved, I showed up after a week of their grand opening. Why? Because! It’s Portillo’s! The best hotdog ever! Not gonna lie, the last time I went to a Portillo’s was at least 5 years ago. First thing I noticed was the self-service kiosks. Love the concept, love that I skipped the line of people who are not familiar with the menu and want the interaction with a cashier. I did miss the merch section and the grab and go section until after I finished my meal. My partner and I ordered the original hotdog, chili cheese fries, and fish sandwich (not pictured because it’s too good and we were at the last bite before we remembered “oops, photo!”). The portion size was just right. Pricing is good compared to Culver’s and Angie’s. Ironically, coming here is cheaper than going to McDonald’s. I guess they wouldn’t mind losing me as a customer. Bonus point: no more driving to Tempe! I’m a mile away from this location, and this will now be my routine lunch and dinner spot!

  I have been waiting for this location to open for several months. I went there for lunch today and what a disappointment for me. I asked for the sandwich to be dry with gravy and hot peppers on the side. Someone came out where you pick up your order to confirm my order. He even asked about my request for hot peppers on the side. Oops! The hot peppers were put on the sandwich. The fries were cold and extremely salty, I could not finish. They ran out of cooked beef, because they came out to tell me they were still cooking it and apologized for the long wait. Probably the reason for the cold fries. I love Portillo's and will give this location another try. Hopefully, I won't have to start going back to the Tempe location. Never had any issues there.
