For dessert, cookies are large with many choices. Sandwiches are made with hardy bread and well filled with greens & meat - deli turkey slices sandwich was excellent! Parking can be a challenge on days the antique mall is busy
- DCdave crownoverDec 2, 20252.0Been a customer of American Way for years. I usually get brisket, and my wife always gets a cup of tri tip chili. Today she once again ordered a cup of tri tip chili and I also ordered a bowl of tri tip chili (my 1st time). After two bites she could not finish, the Tri tip was very small and very chewy and uneatable the so-called chili was bean soup. Mine had zero tri tip and did not in any way resemble chili, it was more like bean soup, and not a very good bean soup either. We did mention the issue to the counter person and unfortunately, she could not address the issue because the owner was not there today and did offer to give us another cup and bowl of soup. I thanked her but declined, I did suggest they take the tri tip chili off the menu and add bean soup instead. I would also mention our last trip to American Way was with our Grandson he wanted some BBQ before he was deployed with the Army, he will be back before Christmas next year. He ordered the triple meat plate which he could finish because of the large pieces of fat throughout the plate, again unfortunate. Double whammy for American Way which is unfortunate because we enjoyed several meals over the years. My thoughts are something has changed here and not for the better.
