This was one of the worst restaurant experiences and service. A group of 5 of us went there for Trivia night for the first time. Here is the summary.
Do NOT go there for service
Do NOT go there if you have an allergy
Do NOT go there for Trivia
So first off, service, we arrived at 6pm, ordered drinks and got those relatively fast. One of the customers has a Soy Protein allergy and the staff does not even know what's in their food. She ordered a chicken parmesan and why that would have soy in it is beyond me but as you know for safety reasons we wanted to check to be sure. I am not sure how a restaurant can operate without an allergy conscious chef or menu? To be safe, she just changed her order to just onion rings. Then we all ordered food and about 30 minutes later only 2 of 5 people had their food. A bun soaked and dripping in grease on a philly cheesesteak and then the onion rings. One of the orders that did not show up was an Appetizer ordered first of Mozzarella sticks. How long does it take to make those? The waitress came back one time in 30 minutes and then we asked, hello, can you check on the food. I am done eating my meal and 3 people still have not received their food. She goes "oh what did you order"? I think you are the waitress and should know what we ordered but we told her and she went to go check on it. 20 minutes later, she doesn't come back, so we grab another person. She says let me check on it. I see both of them at the bar pouring drinks, chatting, and still no answer on our food. She finally comes back, my drink has been empty for 20 minutes, no refill on any water either. She says looks like the slip is gone, the chef claims says he never saw it. Sorry. We will make it right away! ok so another guy comes over to apologize and basically says they are struggling there and nobody wants to work. Another 20 minutes goes by, still no food, trivia is about to be ending at this point. Its been approximately 2 hours and no food. We grab the person and say, cancel everything, this is ridiculous. He says he knows, and we will compensate the entire meal. Which 3 people didn't even get a meal but ok. Terrible experience! Oh and it wasn't just one disgruntled table, 2 other tables didn't get their service and food either.
Now for Trivia, we go to Trivia all over the valley and my friends that did not get their food said they went here last week and it was "ok" but you know its close to home and lets try it again. They warned me last time, people were cheating on Trivia using their phones. But realistically, that can happen and lets give it another try. NOPE. The entire table in front of us, apparently comes every week like 12 of them, cheats every week using their phones blatantly and gets close to perfect score on 3 teams at one table. They get the gift card reward for winning every week and come back to use their gift card the next week. The guy is literally "phoning a friend" on every single question, gets the answer then gets up, walks around to the bar and tells his other buddy what the answer is like "C". The "host" of the trivia is standing right next to their table, conversing with them AS they are cheating. Then she has the nerve to come up to our table and ask us, what's your team name again? I said, well it does not matter as you have multiple people cheating. She goes "really" I did not know that. I said yes you do, you are standing next to them, its that guy right there, look on his phone right now, now watch him hang up, walk to the bar to tell his buddy the answer. She looked dead in the face, caught in their scheme. Just so ignorant and poor service and this is not a one off, its the second time that same family cheats to get free food. Just ruins the entertainment and fun of the game for all customers. Do not waste your money, there are plenty of establishments that wont ruin your night. Oh and NO manager to talk to after I asked multiple times.
