It was horrible. I ordered a mint oreo blizzard, it wasn't mixed, barley any flavor, for some reason it tasted like lime and the cookies tasted off like they weren't oreos. Ot wasnt just me, i had others taste it. My husband and his friend ordered certain blizzards and all the bits were on top and the rest was straight vanilla ice cream. The person at thr cash register was playing with her hair while taking our order and then going and making food 🤢

If you go through the drive through allow yourself a couple of hours. Keep telling yourself “it’s fast food!!!”

I’ve been to the DQ a few times since my family moved here a year and a half ago. I want to preface this review with the fact that during my very first time going to this location, the lady was incredibly rude in the drive through (I had a TWO-day-old and a toddler in the car and going inside would have been too difficult. I asked the lady if she could give me ice cream cake options over the intercom. She said, “Why don’t you come in and look for yourself.” I responded, “Can you not just tell me here?” She clearly did not like this response and was rude throughout the rest of the exchange). I still went a few times after since that was one employee and one incident.
Fast forward to last night, 10/6/25, around 9:15pm. I ordered the same thing I have been ordering for about 25 years - a Reese’s blizzard. The employee hands me the blizzard. It’s vanilla Icecream with the tiniest little brown specs in it. I told the drive through employee this. He gets someone else to handle the situation, a female employee. I’m assuming she was a manager. I told her that I always order a Reese’s blizzard and I have never had it to where it’s basically vanilla Ice-cream with specs of chocolate. Where was the candy? You can’t even taste the Reese’s. You can’t even see them. It was an absurd low amount of candy.
She at first defended how they made this blizzard. I asked if they are cutting back on the amount of Reese’s candy they put in blizzards. She confirmed. She then gave me a refund, no apology or attempt to rectify the situation and was blatantly annoyed throughout the exchange as well.
I understand DQ is a business that needs to turn a profit, but there is a point where the business now is delivering an exceptionally low-quality product that I’m amazed more people haven’t written reviews on this or this place isn’t dishing out refunds right and left.
I am very reasonable and I don’t expect DQ (or any business) to go wild with the expensive ingredients, but I do expect SOME chunks of Reese’s in a Reese’s blizzard.
Anyway, promptly drove to Sonic right after all of this. I ordered a Reese’s Blast. I received a very reasonable Reese’s-to-ice-cream ratio. I will now end my 25-year-long DQ relationship and am going to Sonic for my Reese’s Blast/Blizzards from now on.
