Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customer experiences with service are mixed; while some staff members received high praise for friendliness and efficiency, others were criticized for being inattentive or unprofessional.
Food Consistency
Food quality varies significantly; while many customers enjoyed their meals, others reported issues with cold or improperly prepared items.
Cleanliness

Wait Times
Customers frequently mentioned long wait times, especially during late-night hours, leading to frustration with the service.
Pricing Concerns

You have to acknowledge the workers before they will acknowledge you. The food might as well have come from a gas station. The toilet had feces on it. Disgusting.

No idea about the food, but I can tell you about the service. We are from Texas and missing Whataburger. Went inside to eat there. 1 customer that already had thier food. No one in drive thru. Sat at counter waiting for someone to take our order. After a while someone came out and told us to use the kiosk. Nope. If you can’t take our Oder, we ain’t staying. Went down the street to Freddie’s where they we happy to take our order and the food was great!
