- MAMakayla AlfordMar 23, 20261.0So my first time giving Five Guys a try was about 3 days ago. A friend took me and I ordered a burger, I won’t go into full detail about what I ordered on top. Moral of the story I got home and bit into my burger..first bite I was chewing on straight plastic. I called up there to let them know what I found in my burger, the young man who answered the phone is who I explained my situation to. He responds and say “well that’s kind of not my problem and the manager is not in here right now” …..(it’s not your problem but I saw you back there making my burger when I came in…okay). Manager finally gets the phone and ask us to come by tomorrow for a refund. We go by there the next day and she tells us that she can’t give us a refund..we ask her why? And she responds and say “that’s what my GM told me to tell you” and proceeds to give use a gift card for a free burger next time as if I would even step foot back in that establishment after chewing on a piece of plastic… so next time you guys go to order your food make sure you tell them to hold the plastic!!!

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
