Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported excessively long wait times for food, often exceeding 30 minutes, even during non-peak hours.

There were numerous complaints about cold or incorrect food orders, with some customers receiving items that were not fresh or prepared as requested.

Feedback indicated inconsistent staff professionalism, with some employees being friendly and helpful while others were reported as rude or unprofessional.
Cleanliness

Overall Experience

My family stopped here on our way to Florida at 2:30pm. When we arrived the dining room was getting full of people. There were multiples waiting for their food. We placed our order online to be eaten inside. Multiple employees were seen eating over the assembly line. A female employee went to the bathroom with her phone and stayed in there quite a long time while customers wanted to use the bathroom but had to wait on her to come out. She was in there probably 10 minutes or more. We waited 20 minutes for our food and my husband went to the counter to check on our order. A female employee brought our food to him, in a bag that had been sitting on a counter instead of being brought out to us. The food was barely warm and we had to ask for my daughter's apple slices and ketchup. The dining room had trash scattered throughout. When we first arrived a male employee swept under 1 table and then disappeared to not be seen again while we were there. We will not be back to this location.

The girl who was walking around collecting payment was very unprofessional and was cussing loud enough for customers to hear as she’s walking back To get changed to give to us and then when we said thank you she was very rude and unpleasant.her name was something like Jane or jade and last name started with a D. She should do better.

Food did take a tad too long. But it was rewarded with hot and deliciousness. Makes you forget the small wait. Everyone seemed to get their food quickly. I will update on my return.
