By the time we got our food our burgers were cold. The buns were cold like they were fresh out of the fridge. The cheese on our burgers wasn't even all the way melted. Patties were also on the cool side with no flavor. We were very disappointed that we spent the money and waited that long for crap food.

I waited at the door for a couple minutes, figuring they were just running late. Another person came from the back and upon seeing me, simply signaled "No." I'm not in a rush, I could have waited if he signaled "five" or "ten," I could even have waited outside while they got ready. Instead I was completely cut off. Maybe there really was no way they'd be able to serve me in a respectable time.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
