Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported slow service, particularly in the drive-thru and during busy hours.

I haven’t had Whataburger in years and thought I’d stop by before traveling again and I wasn’t disappointed. I was greeted by a lovely elder lady Ms. Mae who took my order and she was so sweet and patient with everyone. It was very busy but the staff were moving quickly and my burger meal was still hot and delicious.
I’ve been to different locations and it’s just been chaos every time but I really enjoyed the visit.

Don't bother with curbside. I'm straight up in my robe. I had to drop someone off. I wanted a shake on my hour drive back home. They tell me I have to come inside. I'm in my robe. Employees came out and just looked at me.

Poor experience: very loud and vulgar crew. Fries were unseasoned. Wasn’t asked if my order was carry out or dine in and I was asked if I wanted condiments. Constant hard R being said by crew.

I stopped for a small sandwich as it was past the noon hour lunch time. There were no small patties, forcing my party of two to buy a regular sized sandwich. Fortunately, they were kind and cut it in half for us. They were also out of Diet Coke and sweet tea. Whoever does the ordering apparently didn't do a very good job and if it were due to a holiday delivery delay, as I was told, needs to know how to work around major holiday delivery issues.
The restaurant looks older and not well maintained as there was leaking from the ceiling with a bucket under it. Also in a sketchy area.
