That salad was amazing. Good wine and liquor selection. Local joint visitors must go and enjoy. Bit of a drive, you won’t be disappointed.

Charles and Janie Houser purchased the building in 1998 and soon opened Jesse’s Restaurant in 1999 bringing back a vital piece of Magnolia Springs. Mr. Houser named the restaurant Jesse’s after Jesse King, the beloved shopkeeper of Moore’s Store who reportedly never missed a day of work for over 60 years. We are always working to make Jesse’s better than we were yesterday. Owners, Steve and Angie Coltharp, purchased Jesse’s with a vision of being the most talked about steakhouse on the Gulf Coast. The Coltharps made a commitment to serve their guests the best quality products available and never stop changing for better. We pride ourselves in serving unique cuts of dry and wet-aged steaks, bone-in cuts and fresh fish brought in daily.”

While our food was good, we ordered a dozen raw oysters from the menu and were disappointed to see that the restaurant did not serve top-raised, farmed oysters, as is typical at most restaurants of similar culinary caliber. When we told the server, he said they actually do have two farm-raised varieties. I’m not sure why these were not offered to us when we ordered oysters, nor why when we voiced our displeasure he did not do anything to fix his mistake. On a pleasant note, the limoncello tiramisu was likely the best dessert I’ve had this year. The toasted pistachios were a beautiful touch.

Each dish was prepared expertly, the staff was professional but with that extra touch of neighborliness I’ve come to really enjoy about this area. The meal was paced exactly right. And oh my goodness the cocktails! So unique and lovely. Special thanks to our server who patiently listened to my husband go on about his experience working in restaurants. 😁 The night could not have been better. We look forward to coming back to Jessie’s often.

Our Waitress Kayda (not sure I am writing her name correctly) was Super Amazing, Explained Everything in Detail and even gave us some Suggestions, Bartender Sean as well was absolutely Amazing. All in one Employees in there were Friendly and open to Answer any Questions! Food is very Upscale and this Restaurant all Together brings an Excellent Vibe.
