Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was fresh and tasty, but there were complaints about cold or poorly prepared items.

My husband got a cheeseburger that he couldn't keep eating, the fries were floppy and gross but my patty melt was pretty good. Lady who ran the drive thru that night was friendly!

As a DoorDash driver, I’ve had my fair share of experiences, but Whataburger's prioritization is a major concern. Upon arrival, I noticed that dine-in customers and drive-thru orders were prioritized over DoorDash deliveries, even when DoorDash orders were placed well before many dine-in and drive-thru customers arrived.
In my experience, I waited over 30 minutes for an order that was supposedly only missing fries, while about 12 to 14 indoor customers and roughly 10 drive-thru customers who ordered after me received their food first. In total, around 20 to 25 customers were served before my order was even completed. There was no communication from the staff about the delay, and I had to repeatedly ask for updates. The manager, who had colored hair, seemed indifferent to the situation and offered no resolution.
This lack of communication and the apparent prioritization not only impacted my earnings but also wasted valuable time. The staff’s indifferent attitude only added to the frustration.
I hope Whataburger addresses this issue to ensure better service for both DoorDash drivers and customers.
