Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers praised the friendly and helpful staff, particularly highlighting employees like Tonishia, Ashia, and Richard for their exceptional service.
Food Quality
While some customers enjoyed the food, there were numerous complaints about cold or incorrect orders, indicating inconsistency in food quality.
Speed of Service
A significant number of reviews mentioned slow service, especially during peak hours, with long wait times reported in both drive-thru and dine-in experiences.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was frequently noted for being clean, contributing positively to the overall dining experience.

The service at the restaurant is incredibly slow. Like waiting 30 minutes for two meals on a Wednesday night slow. Folks even walked out without their food they couldn’t wait anymore. Not one member of the staff seemed to care. French fries when they came were soaked in grease and it was all over the fry carton. This is the second time we have tried this location and it was bad both times - we won’t be back.

The young lady at the counter was the sweets woman I have meet in Alabama yet. She was very happy to work and took my order with a smile and had conversations about food. Whataburger, she is they type of employee you need everywhere . Give this young lady a raise , promotion something cause she definitely deserves it. Thanks again for my favorite hamburger joint to eat at . I never can wait to get to a Whataburger in the south. This is without a doubt the worst whataburger in Huntsville. They’re consistently slow and lack communication with the customers. Why does it take 10 minutes to acknowledge the customer within the drive thru. Why does it take an additional 15 minutes to receive the food? By then, the food is cold and the drinks are watered down. If you live in the area, just go to the one in Madison

Tyler was our cashier and he was very kind, professional, courteous and came to our table to offer more condiments. Jasmine delivered the order and was also kind, courteous and professional. Both went above and beyond to make sure our order was right. Thank you for hiring such good employees.

I placed my online order thru the app. I arrived at the restaurant and got in line. I was supposed to pickup at 8:57am. I waited in line until 9:15. My coke was completely watered down. Fries and onions completely cold and had to be put in my air fryer at home! Service was horrible. Girl at the window tried to get me to pay again until I said it was a mobile order
