  This has become my staple for soul and Jamaican food. Hands down best greens and mac and cheese in the south. I always get Jakes combination plate. The catfish is perfectly crispy. The jerk wings always hit, I love the sauce that comes on the side. Also the smothered pork chops are top tier. Every time I’ve gone, I have received great services. Shout out to Ray Ray! She makes sure our food comes out fresh and fast!

  Well you didn’t do well this time. I normally come in and sit down and eat but this time I ordered online turkey wings, someone did call me and said you were out of turkey wings. I checked my bank account and the money was taken out, so I called you back to be told it would be 3-5 business days before the money could be put back on my card.It took 3 seconds for you to take the money but it’s gonna take 3-5 for you to give it back 🤷🏽‍♀️.

  First I want to say I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas. My wife had the jerk chicken. When I tell you this was the best oxtail AND jerk chicken ever I’m not exaggerating. Let me just say we had to order extra jerk chicken to take home. But first the oxtail. Idk how but it was so tender but the flavor was something else. It was actually funny because we couldn’t stop popping them in our mouth. It was so nicely seasoned. We have to thank their chef! Now the jerk. They gave us a jerk bbq sauce and other with the jerk if was beautiful. I actually wish they brushed some on the chicken when grilling but we just put it on ourselves. It was jerk chicken that I’d get at a fine dining restaurant if you can believe that. Again the chef is just very good here. We’d come again and again this is our new favorite place!

  I'm giving them 2 stars due to the good service, but the food was subpar and partially inedible. I placed a to go order for the jerk chicken wings with two sides. The jerk chicken was so dry I couldn't finish the chicken. It seemed to be overcooked and sitting for a long period of time. I added the jerk sauce and the hot sauce they provided and it did not help the chicken at all. The Mac n cheese didnt have any flavor and was a little on the dry side. I had to doctored them up at home. The corn bread and cabbage was pretty good, though. I ordered around 8pm tonight, but this shouldnt have impacted the food this significantly. I barely ate any of the chicken because it was hard as a rock. 😭 which is sad because the plate was $25. I dont mind paying the price if the food is good, but it's definitely not what I expected for what I paid. Ultimately, I was a bit off put with the food so I likely will not be visiting again any time soon. There are so many places that are better.

  Ill start with the service. Absolutely wonderful extremely sweet staff. The embodiment of southern hospitality. The atmosphere was nice as well i like the way its set up and decorated. On to the food I ordered the beef patty, ox tail, jerk chicken for the sides i ordered rice, mac and cheese, sweet potato caserole, and plantains Started with the oxtail. When it came to the table the food wasnt hot but the plates were. One thing to note. The ox tail had a gummy texture and the rice was very dry, and had crunchy bits in it. On to the jerk chicken, the chicken was cooked very nicely but not much of a jerk flavor, cool to the touch, and came with a sauce that was extremely sweet and vinegar kind of taste. The sweet potato caserole was very nicely done one of the best i have had, mac and cheese was good but i would say nothing special, can taste the cheese. The plantains were nice as well, and the cornbread was done perfectly. I also enjoyed the beef patty. The filling had the perfect spice and flavor. As far as the food I couldnt take more than 4 bites. I found it to be unpleasant
