We visited Outback Hoover Saturday the 28th and it was not the best experience. Food was not cooked properly nothing came out correct not even the ticket. Taylor our waitress was very nice and overwhelmed. Group of 7 and it took us 2.5 hours to get our food. Lots of people walking out. We made sure to tip our waitress because she was polite and handling all the upset customers for the manager that we never seen.

I think Outback has changed their grade of steaks. Everyone's food was extremely tough. The Bloomin Onion was cooked in old grease. And even though we ordered it long before our meal order it came out at the same time, almost room temperature. This was a poor choice for a birthday. And we were there around 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

My husband and I like to come to Outback when they have the limited times drinks so last night we went out for the croctail to bring the crocodile home with us. Upon arriving, the host took a long time to get us checked in and we told her we specifically needed a booth. About 20 minutes later, we got a text that the table was ready so we went to the host stand where she took another 10 minutes to get us seated. She put us at a table with chairs in the most high traffic spot in the restaurant. My husband and I almost left at this point (we should’ve) but tried to stick it out. I got my croctail and a bloomin onion, but decided to get a take home meal because I was so uncomfortable at this table and wanted to leave. My husband ordered his meal and couldn’t finish it so the host walked by and asked if we needed boxes. I said yes two. She then disappeared to the bathroom and our waiter decided to bring us boxes and by the time she arrived with the boxes, all the food was already packed up and she seemed offended we already got them. We waited a very long time to get the take home meal to the point that I decided to go outside because I could not sit at this uncomfortable table anymore (I had a procedure done earlier in the day). My husband came out 20-30 minutes later saying they gave us shrimp (I’m allergic to shellfish) when I had ordered the Alice Spring’s chicken. He told them I had to have the chicken because of my allergy so that was the huge hold up there. The point of my review is to say don’t have people come out to your restaurant spending $80 plus if you can’t accommodate their comfort and needs. Also, the host is the first impression of a restaurant and she definitely left a bad one on us. To those reading this, drive to the Fultondale location for better service and treatment! They are the best up there.

SERVICE AND QUALITY have gone down. When Outback was on Hwy 31 in Hoover, the company was 5 times better. How bad was Galleria: - The service was bad where no one wanted to help, probably because it was carry out. Took 20 minutes for someone to finally get the to-go order server to help. - Instead of waiting at the bar, I went to Olive to pick up another order. Came back 25 minutes later and still had to wait 15 minutes for someone to bring my order. I only had one appetizer item to pick up. - The food was undercooked, way too much seasoning in the batter, just not good at all. The funny thing about this so-called service, the card reader was set at 18% (hahaha) they expect that for bad service to go order? I'll stick with Olive, they are better. Note: it was 6:30pm when I was there. They and about 5 tables occupied in the whole restaurant and 2 people at the bar on a Thursday night. (haha)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic experience at Outback Steakhouse in Hoover, Alabama. From the moment we sat down, the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Preston, was phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a great meal. The gentleman who brought our food was just as courteous, and the manager even came around to check on us, which really showed a commitment to customer care. The food was excellent across the board. My 11-year-old daughter ordered the Aussie Fries (cheesy bacon fries), and between my girlfriend and me… we pretty much ate them all — I’ll admit I had the most, but everyone enjoyed them! She also had a 6 oz sirloin with two cups of fruit, plus a brownie with ice cream for dessert, and loved every bite. My girlfriend had the grilled shrimp with cheesy broccoli and finished with cheesecake, while I went with the 8 oz sirloin, baked potato soup, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake. Everything was cooked well, flavorful, and served hot. The restaurant itself looks like it’s been remodeled and modernized — clean, comfortable, and welcoming. This visit was my daughter’s idea, and we’re really glad we took her — we all had a great time. Great food, exceptional service, and a very enjoyable atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
