This was my very first visit to this establishment, based on my friend's recommendation. We came to eat together today. I normally never leave reviews, but this experience was so upsetting I felt it was necessary to share. I ordered a hot ham and cheese sandwich with chips and a drink. on my sandwich i asked to add pickles, salt and pepper, and oil and vinegar. He told me there are salt and pepper packets I can add myself. That was no problem! When I got my sandwhich there were no pickles and no oil and vinegar. and it wasn't even cut. I had to get up and ask them to add the things i wanted, they handed me small plastic cups with pickles and oil and vinegar i had to put on my sandwhich myself. He said wouldn't cut it for me... he directed me to the grossest looking basket of unwrapped plastic knifes i had to select a knife from. Mind you I am visibly pregnant (6 months) and so is my friend! We were treated HORRIBLY. After assembling my sandwhich myself I couldn't barely enjoy it because of the service we experienced. we also discussed how you have to leave a tip at the beginning of the experience when you pay for your meal! That tip was very undeserved. I've never asked for a refund before at ANY restaurant, but today I almost did..just upset and won't be back.

i normally don’t do this but i had to today i normally always come here i’m a regular and the guy who makes my food with the eyebrow piercing is always fantastic and i LOVE HIM so he is disregarded from this review i’m not sure if he’s not there right now but the past 2 times i’ve come here because again i come here all the time, but the guy who took over i brought my friend here we are both pregnant and the guy didn’t cut my sandwich and told me when i asked him to “there’s plastic ware over there” and messed up both of our orders my friend had to assemble her sandwich by herself basically and cut her food with a butter knife which in an establishment like this is UNACCEPTABLE idk if she will ever come back and if the first guy i mentioned isn’t here i don’t think i will ever be back either as a regular i’m very disappointed they seemed almost bothered i asked them to do it right the first time i came he put so much of one thing i couldn’t even eat my sandwich and for 16$ what am i paying for at that point give me an apron and let me do it myself since i had to do that basically anyways this is not what i’m used to and i’m very upset

I love the Hoover location! Orlando was so helpful and displayed excellent customer service. He greeted me with such delight and helped me decide what I wanted. Orlando was also very patient with me. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend 😊

I went to store #1657in Hoover, AL. The first time I visited was on a Sunday and Becca was the only employee there. Becca was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! She was friendly, kind, attentive, made my sandwich quickly and correctly without needing to ask me again. I just cannot stress enough how amazing Becca was that afternoon.
I returned to that location about 10 days later and Becca was there again with Orlando. Again, the service by both Becca and Orlando was nothing short of perfection. I don't eat out often, but when I do, I will certainly have this Jimmy John's location in mind, especially if Becca and Orlando are working that day. In a day and age where customer service is severely lacking in all industries, Becca and Orlando were a breath of fresh air.
Hopefully, someone from corporate reads this and rewards them accordingly, they both deserve the recognition.
