His only justification was “it was busy.” That’s not acceptable. A food safety issue isn’t something to dismiss, and being busy doesn’t excuse it. Yes, I was eventually refunded, but the refund was given with the attitude that he was doing me a favor, rather than taking ownership of a mistake that happened under his leadership. If management can’t take valid customer feedback seriously, I can only imagine what the team members under that leadership are experiencing. This is a clear opportunity for Chipotle to tighten up standards and provide training on what real leadership and accountability look like.
