Last night vacationing for the week and had a sick little one. He saw the Mario commercial for McDonald’s so I drove up from Fort Morgan to grab some Happy Meals. Not hard right just two identical meals. Took the girl 3+ minutes just to take the order then I stood inside at least 10 minutes waiting. Nobody else there except one guy who came in after me. Got the Happy meals and head back home just to open them with the kids excitement just to find there wasn’t even a toy in the box and the meals were wrong.

I’m giving atmosphere one star — and that’s entirely on the customers, not the staff. There was the sweetest elderly man working the register, checking on orders and making sure everything was moving along during a very busy lunch rush. He was doing his job with grace and care. Meanwhile, the majority of customers were moaning and carrying on because their food wasn’t out fast enough — making the whole space feel uncomfortable and frankly embarrassing. If you choose to visit a McDonald’s in a touristy area during spring break lunchtime, a wait comes with the territory. It was also pretty clear they were understaffed. And yet, those employees held it together with patience I’m not sure many people could manage. These are human beings doing their best with what they have. A little empathy goes a long way — especially when you’re ordering a hamburger and some nuggets. This is not a life-or-death situation. If you happen to visit this location and see the elderly gentleman at the register — show him some love. Be patient. Be kind. And extend that same respect to everyone working there. They’ve earned it.

Ordered at the kiosk for dine in. Took the table tent as instructed by the kiosk for my order to be brought out to me. A few minutes later, heard what I thought was my number. Sure enough, my order was in a to-go bag sitting on the shelf. Watched the same thing happen to another customer. Their food was sitting much longer. The staff didn't seem to care because they didn't make an attempt to ensure that customers heard them calling out their order (which is supposed to be brought to the table in the first place.)

I had a really disappointing experience at this McDonald’s. The place itself felt outdated and poorly maintained, but what stood out the most was the staff. Many of the older employees seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. Service was slow, orders were mixed up, and there was a noticeable lack of basic courtesy. It felt like no one cared whether customers had a good experience or not. Simple requests were met with attitude, and getting assistance took far longer than it should have. I understand everyone has off days, but the overall atmosphere here just felt unwelcoming and frustrating. Definitely not what I expect from a place that’s supposed to be quick, friendly, and reliable.

McDonald’s has built a reputation for being a reliable and convenient place to grab a quick meal, and it consistently delivers on that promise. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic burgers and fries to breakfast items and newer additions, making it easy for anyone to find something they enjoy. The food is prepared quickly, which is perfect for busy days when you need something fast but still satisfying.’One of the standout features of McDonald’s is its consistency. No matter which location you visit, you can expect the same familiar taste and quality. The staff are usually friendly and efficient, helping keep lines moving even during peak hours. The restaurants are generally clean and well-maintained, adding to a comfortable dining experience.Additionally, the affordability makes it a great choice for people of all ages. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick snack, a full meal, or just a coffee, McDonald’s offers good value for the price. Overall, it remains a dependable option for fast food that balances speed, taste, and convenience.
