Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times, often exceeding 30 minutes, both in the drive-thru and inside the restaurant.
Food Quality
While many customers praised the food quality, particularly the burgers, there were complaints about cold or improperly cooked items.
Staff Attitude
Customer service experiences varied widely; some staff were described as friendly and attentive, while others were noted for being rude or unprofessional.
Cleanliness
Several reviews mentioned unsanitary conditions in the restaurant, including dirty floors and unkempt dining areas.

Took longer than it should for someone to take my order in an empty drive through, but I overlooked it. Drove to the window after placing my order for a milkshake and a cookie, paid for my order. Sat at the window 15 minutes for the guy to open the window and tell me their shake machine was down. He asked "What else can I get you?" Nothing - I came for a milkshake. They gave us a refund for the shake after I asked, and they made it seem like a hassle for THEIR issue.

This is the dirtiest Whataburger I have ever been in. the floor had not been cleaned since at least breakfast. The 🍔 were good but if the dinning rooms is dirty, what does the kitchen look like? They also but our dine in order in a bag and didn't have table #s, just hollering out peoples names.

Hit the drive-thru this morning around 10am. Placed my order and paid. The lady at the windows was very nice, made sure I had everything I needed before I left. The food was PERFECT. Burger was made to my request. Fries were hot and crispy. I got my spicy ketchup and Dr Pepper no ice! This is Whataburger. I appreciate everyone working there. Thank you for the great meal!

"My wife and I are officially done with the Whataburger in Foley. I can see why the lines aren't long anymore: we are paying Five Guys prices for sub-tier food.
We spent $35 and waited nearly 25 minutes in a line with only three cars. I was post-op and hadn't eaten in 16 hours, only to have the worker basically throw the bag at us. The attitude was terrible, and the order was wrong—overcooked food, sour sweet tea, and no ketchup or napkins despite us asking.
To make it worse, the app here is useless. It constantly declines payments (even Google Pay), forcing you to order at the window. It works perfectly in Pensacola, so this is clearly a management failure at this specific location. Foley has plenty of dining options, but they all seem to hire the same rude staff who bounce from job to job. If someone has worked at six different places in a year, maybe don't hire them."
