  We were passing thru and the Metro diner had a waitlist so we decided to try Toasted Yolk. We were sat pretty quickly and our waiter came a bit later than expected not too bad. But basically after she got our orders we didnt see her again. We had to ask another server for additional water and our check. But we both ordered half salad half sandwich meals. My chicken salad sandwich was very good. The toast was well buttered but a little too crispy, which made it hard to bite. The chicken salad was great though, with just enough mayo and chicken ratio and a large portion. My half Greek salad was huge and could've been a meal by itself. Very tasty with fresh veggies and good Greek dressing. I normally get dressing on the side but this was not too much so I did regret not asking. My husband got the half Reuben and fried chicken salad. His Reuben was missing 1000 Island dressing, but he asked for light sauerkraut which he got. His salad was light on the chicken though. My Greek salad had tons of sliced chicken on it compared to his. Our service was slow and at the end the server made an inappropriate comment that rubbed us the wrong way. That's her "bad" not the restaurants though. The restaurant is bright, clean and orderly. I like the wall murals and seating. I assume there were some issues with the kitchen and this server but dont think it represents the restaurant as a whole

  We went in and were seated right away. However we waited for a while for service but no one even looked our way. We were at an oddly placed table behind a wall. But it was right in front of the “In” swing door to the kitchen. I asked the very nice busser to find our server because we had not been waited on. We eventually got drinks from another server but Taylor (who was supposedly our server) never came by. We waited for a while longer and finally got up and left. As we were getting up the server who got our drinks offered to take our order but we were already leaving so we took our business to Metro. No one wore name tags so I can’t say for sure if we ever saw Taylor and I do not know the name of the other server or busser.

  We came into town the other day and had our first experience at this place and to be honest the food was so so but our server Dana made it worth it. Told us about the free donuts and the rewards program so we could get more the next time we come through.

  Tyler, my waiter was very friendly and helpful. He did not hover but made sure my needs were met. Food was excellent and the coffee was great too! It does take a minute to get coffee from the bar but I can understand that (wasn’t super long, lol).

  Driving through Dothan, Al, stopped at The Toasted Yolk. Upon entering, Music is way too loud, service is poor, food was way too salty…unimpressed ! My husband enjoyed the coffee, so there is one thing they got right. Don’t waste your time or money Go to Metro Diner in same plaza, they’re great!
