We were seated fairly soon but I had call ahead seating. We waited almost an hour for our food. Our waitress was working our table and then went to work the bar. She never returned until someone else had finally brought our food out. We sat there almost an hour before food was brought out without any service whatsoever. She was within a fairly close distance to us behind the bar but never bothered to check on us while we waited. Looks like this Outback is in dire need of some competent help and management. Maybe some additional training would be beneficial.

I usually enjoy leaving 5-star reviews, but unfortunately this experience at Outback in Cullman doesn't come close to deserving one. We spent good money expecting a nice hot meal, but the food itself was mediocre. Making a reservation didn't help either, we still waited 30 minutes to be seated and once at the table, it took nearly 2 full hours to receive our food and during the entire evening we never once saw a manager checking on tables. The only reason we didn't walk out was because we were with friends who invited their friends. Going out should be a treat and an enjoyable experience but I am highly disappointed.

My family of 5 came in tonight for our first visit and wife’s birthday. To start the bloomin onion was a lot more greasy than I remembered. I’ll say maybe that’s just how it is and not order it again if we decide to even come back. It took an hour to get 3 Mac n cheese with fries for kids, coconut shrimp app as entree for wife, and a Caesar salad for myself. My main complaint is the salad was very bland, less than a piece of grilled chicken, and terrible quality lettuce. I wouldn’t pay $5 for it and it’s priced at almost $20. Also, my daughter waited 20 minutes with an empty drink until we asked. It was definitely not the service or quality of food I would recommend to anyone. It’s been a long time since we have been to an outback and were excited. I just left hungry and pissed off I wasted my money…

My first time to have lunch there was Christmas Eve and I ate a late lunch there again today. Both times were very busy and I had to wait a while but it was worth it. I have called in pick up 3 times. Every experience has been great. Of course you have to consider they have only been open a few weeks and are dealing with non stop crowds but they are handling every day the best they can so people need to be understanding about that. My food has always been perfect every time no matter how busy they were. Today was really busy so the wait to get seated was a bit longer but worth it. The girls at the hostess desk that seats customers (Lacy, Jayda, Gabriella & Kendall) and my servers (Whitley, Autumn & Alexis) plus the girls that brought out my orders in the pick up area (Treasure & Marley) were all very polite, well mannered and professional. Managers Ashley & Nick both have handled these huge crowds of customers extremely well.

I visited the Outback in Cullman Alabama Tuesday December 17th, 2025. Me and my family were quickly greeted and taken to our seat.
While there, I witnessed several waitresses crying from how management was treating them. I overheard a black woman tell my waitress she was costing the company more money than she was worth over her dropping something on the floor. It was an accident for God sake. I also witnessed 2 other waitresses crying. When I went to the restroom, another waitress was having a panic attack because of how management was treating her. Upon walking out of the bathroom, I overheard cussing and yelling in the kitchen. The whole place has a negative and tense vibe. Its a resturaunt, yall arent saving lives. No one deserves to be cussed out and belittled over simple mistakes!! Yall have been open for two weeks, help your employees without being hateful!! The food was mediocre at best, and I had to wait almost an hour due to the grill catching on fire. Several people left without paying, which made them have to comp the bills, which they then blamed the servers for.
All I have left to say as someone who is in management currently is this: Failure and execution is a direct reflection of management. I immediately knew management was lacking when I seen the state of the employees. These poor kids have half way been trained and thrown to the wolves. I believe all of the management needs to replaced or this one will be shut down as well.
My server was fantastic. Despite being talked to like a dog she still came to my table with a warm smile. I tipped her good, and told her she needed to find another job, because she was way to good to be at this one. I believe her name was Raelin.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Do better.
