When I walked in, a server was seating a couple and said he will seat me when he finished cleaning off a table, he never returned but instead disappeared into the kitchen. After 15 minutes I was seated by a host although I was the only person waiting and the place seemed moderately busy. I later discovered the staff person who left me at the front was a server and no one was at the host area seating customers which explained why several customers left after waiting too long to get get seated. My food was very tasty, and my server Ryan, friendly and attentive. It took a long time to receive my latte from the bar but Ryan kept me informed. Since my hotel had lost power, and I wondered into this restaurant. I didn’t mind the long wait for my food but folks seated around me seemed displeased with the long wait for seating and their food

We were greeted with smiling faces and immediately taken to our seats. Our waitress was attentive and answered all of our questions. The food was amazing. The cheese grits were so good and I had the Nashville fried chicken salad. Amazing! Great portion sizes and the drinks were great!! The bartender was so warm and our drinks were great! We met the Chef to compliment the food..I will be back!!

So i walk in with my gf, 2 hours before they close. Restaurant was half busy and understandably so because of Sunday Brunch. But my waiter took so long to take our drink and food order. Ordered 2 different eggs Benedict and both came out over cooked but luke warm, mind you almost an hour after i had ordered. my salmon was well seasoned but the hollandaise with the hard boiled poached egg ruined my meal. the plate was also dirty which makes no sense because the food was served on english muffins (stale btw). safe to say they need to be on one of those restaurant remodeling shows. i can tell management doesnt take their job seriously because the kitchen and wait staff are slow and sloppy.

My two sons and i ate breakfast at The Toasted Yolk Cafe this morning for the first time. We chose this resteraunt because of their unique and appealing menu choices. Upon arrival we were greated by a friendly staff. The atmosphere was pleasant. The server was personable upon ordering. She returned to ask if i preferred ice in my apple juice which i really appreciated. However, their were unpleasant things about our visit that make me not want to visit here again. My oldest son ordered a Mimosa with a shot of vodka and my youngest son ordered a barista drink. We were the first patrons at the resteraunt today. Twenty minutes had passed before i inquired about my sons receiving their drinks. The watress replied, " I am getting that together for you." Another 10 minutes went by and my youngest son inquired about his coffee drink he ordered. The waitess replied, " We are still getting it together for you." We never seen our original server again. She was there, but she never came back to our table. At this point two of us are contemplating going somewhere else, but we were really wanting to try the food. After their drinks arrived my oldest son did not receive the extra shot of vodka he ordered. After he let our server know, Another server brought it out and apologized saying she did not know he ordered it that way. My youngest sons barista drink was brought out by another server. My youngest son's barista drink was watered down and taste powdery. Again we were considering paying for our drinks and getting breakfast somewhere else because of our service up to this point. I went to the bathroom to pray for patience and pray for the staff at this establishment. After i got back to the table the food had arrived. The food presentation was nice. My oldest son ordered bacon and he did not get it. He didn't say anything about it. They charged him for bacon on the receipt. My eggs benedict was cold. I did not say anything. I got a to go box and took the remainder to eat for lunch. The food did taste good. I am looking forward to reheating my leftovers for lunch today. My oldest son treated us to breakfast. Our bill was $95 including the $15 tip he left. I wrote," Jesus loves you on the receipt." ❤️ We had an awesome family trip to Birmingham that i will never forget! The Toasted Yolk Cafe will not be on our itinerary next trip.
