  Waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes called and they said only 2 people working and it would be another hour maybe longer canceled my order 3 to 5 days for a refund this is no way to do business. My opinion is the papa John's at at lake Dr off Morgan rd in Bessemer Al needs new management

  I ordered through door dash at 736 I end up cancelingcelling my order at 902 Because I didn't want to wait another hour for it to come to my house. And of course, I didn't get a refund on doordash because they already started making it, this is unacceptable

  Ordered two pizzas at 7:00pm this evening. By 8:40, no pizza and no update to the online status. My husband calls in and speaks with the “manager”. The manager tells him it’s going to be another hour to hour and a half to get the pizza into a car to deliver to us. He said they were short staffed - which I understand things happen - but a two and a half hour wait for a run of the mill pizza is absolutely ridiculous. When my husband asked for even a partial refund, his answer was no, because “everyone’s order was late so we would have to refund everyone” … okay then maybe you should? It’s not my fault that a pizza that I paid good money for is late because of a lack of preparedness on your staff. An hour wait? Understandable. Nearly 3 hours? Unacceptable. We will absolutely never be back and will tell everyone we know to stay away from this location.

  This is easily the most unreliable Papa John’s location I’ve ever dealt with. This isn’t a one-time issue—this is the fourth or fifth consecutive order where something has gone wrong. Delivery times are consistently inaccurate, and orders are always late. If the store knows it’s understaffed or short on drivers, then the online system should reflect realistic timelines. Customers should not be placing orders based on expectations that the store clearly cannot meet. What makes it worse is the lack of communication. I only found out my order was delayed because I called—no update, no notification, nothing. That’s unacceptable. Tonight’s experience was the final straw. The employee I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and completely unsympathetic. Instead of offering any kind of solution, she immediately said she would cancel my order without even asking if that’s what I wanted. I was willing to wait, but that option was taken away from me. At this point, it’s not just a delivery issue—it’s a customer service issue. Repeated delays, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism make this location difficult to trust. I won’t be ordering from here again unless there are serious improvements.
