  Absolutely LOVVVVE this place! Larry and his staff are always so friendly and accommodating. We come from out of town every 3 months for our follow up appts & never miss a dinner here on our visit to the big city. We wish our city had an Eastside Mario’s. Torrie ( our server) was very friendly, courteous and professional. Thank you for the consistent running for refills and dealing with our quirky family needs! We appreciate great service with a smile!!! 🥰

  Our server TARIN!! Shout out, I do not think we have ever had a better server. Attentive without being overbearing, kept our drinks refilled which seems to be such a challenge anywhere you dine out these days. The food was delicious. Service excellent, food excellent, atmosphere excellent Definitely will be back and will request Tarin's section!! Thank-you for an enjoyable experience / evening.

  We routinely attend to eat but tonight was a total miss. Pastas were good but one person had the steak and it was inedible, overcooked and no flavour. Waiter working the lounge didn’t offer refills of soup or drinks even one time or bother to ask how everything was. Brought our food out but we still had dirty soup bowls and plates everywhere that were never taken away. I would have complained had he even asked how everything was. This combined with the shrinkflation has me questioning if I would return again. This used to be a favourite spot.

  I went for lunch with my sister because this is one of her favorite restaurants, and I felt compelled to write about our experience — especially the service. These days, it often feels like tipping a certain percentage is just expected, even when the service doesn’t always reflect it. But that was absolutely not the case here. Manal made us feel like we truly mattered. She was attentive, caring, and genuinely kind throughout our entire meal. It never felt forced — her service was warm and sincere. She is honestly one of the best servers I’ve encountered in a very long time. Thank you, Manal, for making our lunch so enjoyable.

  Very devastated to post this review because it is the 1st time in many many years we have been disappointed with the food and service. We asked friends to join us that have not been to Eastside for over 10 years even though they live in St. Albert. Liam was our server, he was great with letting us visit and taking our time in ordering. However, we ordered Sizzling Calamari to start and it arrived with no bread. We asked Liam for bread and he said it was just coming out of the oven. On the good side, Liam did bring 2 loaves of bread when it was ready. Water and pop was never offered to be refilled unless we specifically asked for them. But the big concern was the food this time. The tomato sauce is usually very good, this night it tasted like they opened a tin of diced tomatoes and put it in our pasta, no spice or flavour to it at all, in both our seafood pasta and baked pasta. Husband asked for penne rather than linguine in his seafood pasta, we all received our meals except for my husband. He did not receive his meal until at least 8 minutes after all of us received our meals. Then I had to ask Liam for the scratch cards that I had received an email about and for the take home pasta. We only took one Alfredo pasta home, when we ate it today, it seemed to lack the flavour it usually has. We are always willing to overlook service when the food is good, and the food has always been amazing until last night. It is the 1st time we have been disappointed with the food, with the exception of the sizzling calamari. Sad because the couple we asked to join us after not being there for years, had a bad 1st experience and likely will not return.
