I had a terrible experience with Thai Express in Bower Mall (Red Deer) and feel compelled to share what happened. I ordered 3 Tom Yum soups through Uber Eats for my sick family. When the driver was already near my location, he informed me that Thai Express messaged him saying they gave him the wrong order. The Uber driver explained that he couldn’t go back because he had another customer waiting, and Thai Express only offered him $3 to return, which is unreasonable, especially in -19°C weather. It wasn’t the driver’s fault, and I completely understood why he couldn’t turn around. I called Thai Express directly, and unfortunately, the situation got even worse. The staff member I spoke to (I believe her name was Em) took no accountability whatsoever. She told me to request a credit through Uber and reorder, meaning I would have to pay another $74 upfront, even though this entire situation was their mistake. She mentioned they could give me the incorrect order for free, but that did nothing to solve the issue. I needed the soup for my sick husband and daughter. I clearly explained this, but she said there was nothing she could do, even after contacting her boss. Their only “solution” was for me to pay again or drive to pick up the order myself. I was at work and unable to do that. I refuse to pay another $74 for their mistake, even if Uber eventually refunds it, because the money still comes off my credit card first. Bottom line: Zero accountability No attempt to genuinely help No real solution provided The boss and staff showed very poor customer service This experience was stressful, frustrating, and completely avoidable. I will not be ordering from this location
