He actually told me the correct amount, then told me it malfunctioned the 1st time, and then asked me to re-tap the debit machine with a higher amount. I did not see any electronic tip request and I noticed he stuck his hand in front of the machine momentarily. He seemed pretty happy with himself on the way out for some reason, and sure enough when i got home I see why. Theft is illegal and I also see why they no longer have online complaint form submissions. When I called the store I received no apology or offer of reimbursement. On this reason alone avoid this location unless you enjoy being stole from.
