  We moved to the area and were excited to try the local KFC. Unfortunately, after giving it two chances (about a month and a half apart, both times between 6 and 7 pm), we’ve been really disappointed. Both times we ordered a bucket of chicken with fries and gravy, and the quality just wasn’t there. The gravy arrived cold and gelatinous, the fries were soggy, and the chicken was extremely greasy. We expect some grease with fried chicken, of course, but this was overly greasy to the point where the skin was falling apart and soggy instead of crispy. It almost seemed like the chicken had been pre-cooked and then refried, or that the oil temperature wasn’t right and the pieces were left in too long. We hoped the first experience was just a bad batch, but having the exact same issues twice isn’t a good sign. Definitely not the crispy chicken we hoped for. Very disappointing!
