I frequent this store very often and usually have no issues ….. other then one employee who I would assume to be some sort of management in the produce section. Every time I’ve run into this guy he smells absolutely disgusting I’m not one to shame someone but this makes me question the overall cleanliness of him and what he comes into contact with. This is some thing that I’ve encountered multiple times.

Great customer service from a baker at this location. Stopped by today, Dec 23, late in the day to pick up a few last minute items needed for Christmas Eve. The bakery had no baguettes left as it was late in the day. Asked the worker in the bakery if she had any left and she told me she could bake a few to order if I could wait 20-25 minutes. After telling her i wouldn’t be there that long she told me she would pack some up to bake at home if I chose. I returned back to the bakery about 10 minutes later and she was pulling 2 baguettes out of the oven for me. Excellent service! Wish I would be got her name so I could give her a personal thanks you. Definitely service you rarely see these days.

I stopped at this location, hoping to pick up a case of root beer as two other grocery stores were out. When I rang through my purchase at the self-checkout, it came to $11.99! This is a 7/11/gas station price, I thought. I tried to cancel the transaction, but the machine locked up. After I left the store, I got the same case of soda at Safeway, a grocery store not known for value pricing, for $9.59, including deposit and GST. What I am more irked by is the customer service from the bearded manager named Andy. When he finally reached the checkout, he yelled, "What do you need?". No, "how can I help you" or something more pleasant. He removed the transaction from my machine without saying a word. No "how is your evening", and then he side-eyed me as I was holding three chocolate bars that I had seen on the aisle while I was waiting for help. I said I had just seen them, but I hadn't had a chance to add them to the till as the machine was locked up. When I left the store, he said nothing. Just stared at the floor and counted the seconds until he could lock the door. Way to feel welcome! This is the second time I received poor service from this man. The first time was when he barked at me about their closing time as I entered the store. I make a point of not trying to enter the store at 2 minutes before closing time, unlike some people, as it is unfair to the staff. However, even Superstore has a lady at the door who thanks you for coming or says, 'Have a nice night.' I am always surprised at how some people, like Andy, secure front-line customer service positions with little to no human relations ability.

As a shopper for over a decade, I have always valued be store's convenience and selection. But my latest experience has shattered that trust. I was simply exiting after paying for my items at the pharmacy when, out of nowhere, a random guy sprinted up to me and gave me a nasty scare. No uniform, no badge visible, no introduction-just put his face in my bag and asked for my receipt. I had no idea who this person was. I went back into the store at customer service to present my receipt and proved the items were legitimately purchased because at this point I still did not know who the person who first approached me was. After the fact, the person did not provide any apology whatsoever.
