  It took them 1.5 hours to bring out our food and it was similar for most tables. It was very disorganized as well and we watched two other tables who arrived 30 minutes after us receive their entire table of food first. Our server also did not appear to be mentally present. Everything she brought to the table was placed directly in front of our toddler which we had to frantically grab. Most concerning was a skillet still sizzling from the oven. My wife practically had to dive onto the table while I grabbed my son to save him from 3rd degree burns. This seemed to go completely unnoticed by our server. The long wait for our food required us to leave as soon as our food arrived and when we asked for it to be packed up so we could go, our server refused but told us she'd bring the takeout containers to our table. It wasn't until we were paying for our meal that we were told "sorry for any delays, we're short staffed". Had we been told this before being seated or given a estimated wait time or even been checked on and informed about what issues were happening we would have more understanding. Bad days happen. We love the food at Montana's and will likely be back but the way this location handles their issues put a huge damper on the evening's of many people. There's better ways to spend $100.

  We entered the restaurant around 12:15pm on February 24 and were greeted with a smile by Brittany. She advised us to pick any table we like and she’ll follow behind with menus. The restaurant was near half full at this time, and Brittany appeared to be working alone; no other staff in sight that we could see other than the kitchen staff. The person I was with asked Brittany if she was the only server; she was. She was the most efficient and caring server I have ever had at a Montanas restaurant. She certainly got her steps in running around in loops taking care of each and every single guest ensuring drinks were topped up and food was ordered and satisfactory. Sure we understand they were short staffed and food took longer than expected, but that didn’t deter us from having a great experience and leaving a good tip. Brittany deserved it!

  I want to leave only 5 star reviews here in Cochrane, but this location is getting a generous 4. Nice people there, but not once did I see a waiter wash their hands while handling food and cutlery. Hand washing is essential for proper hygiene and other reasons. Hope this improves. Dr Daniel Featured on television

  We decided to go for drive to Cochrane. We found Montana's. So we opted for BBQ Lunch. Restaurant had a very busy lunch on Sunday. Chef John was looking after the production as well the restaurant service. I was quite amazed how friendly and caring he was. He took our order and served us our drinks and food. I have never seen a chef so dedicated not only back of the house also in front of the house. Checking on all the tables. Five star for the efforts. For sure we will go back to Montana's Cochrane. Thank you John.

  Ordered their Family BBQ Combo for takeout last night. Kinda disappointed (again). As we had a problem with getting a complete order last time (they missed a couple of the sides) and the hassle this caused. Had to wait a few minuntes (which was fine as the kitchen was busy) and as I had the problem last time confirmed with the staff that the order was complete. He assured me it was "I remember you from the last time you had missing items", and I packed it for you this time. Well... they did it again. Sadly we didn't receive our 8 pc chicken wings (and with the business of the night, we didn't notice till the next morning) and unfortunately the "fall of the bones ribs" were not fall of the bone tender, rather a bit chewy. They need some sort of checklist to avoid these simple errors. Guess I'm back to calling the Cochrane Location to talk to the Manager (again).
