  Worst experience I had in terms of customer service. Never tasted their food but yes had to cancel half way of preparing it just because of poor way of dealing with customer. I asked the price on phone but when I went to store to grab my food and pay for it, that was different. Please dont misguide customer as it waste their time. I think the cashier could easily solve the problem but he did no effort and that was rude.

  I ordered a buy one get one free of a chicken schwarma platter and a chicken schwarma wrap specifically because it was buy one get one free. I did not receive the "free" food item of either and was then hung up on by the store manager while trying to explain the situation. the food here is very good but the service is not good and I did not receive my order

  The staff were fantastic—super friendly, welcoming, and really attentive. They made the visit enjoyable. Sadly, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It was a bit underwhelming compared to the great service. Hoping the kitchen steps it up because the crew definitely deserves it!

  The food here is *fantastic*. I found it by accident and didn't feel hungry until I got home and eventually dug into the vegetarian platter - and bam! The flavoury, savoury ingredients were copious and filled a large container. I thought the price was a mistake it was so reasonable. This Afghanistani restaurant is chef's kiss 🤌 and the staff was lovely.

  I’ve been a loyal patron of the 17th Ave location for nearly a decade, but the experience at the Chinook chain is a massive disappointment that makes me wish they’d never expanded. While the food is still decent, the quality of ingredients has gone significantly downhill, and the discrepancy in portion sizes is unacceptable; when ordering through DoorDash or other couriers, you receive half the portion you’d get in person despite paying a higher price. Beyond the food, the environment is ruined by the manager’s utterly disgusting treatment of the staff, which is painful to witness. They should have kept the business on 17th where the heart and quality were; I truly miss the atmosphere and standards the original location used to represent.
