This was my first time ordering from Shawarma Passion, and unfortunately it turned into a very stressful and disappointing experience. I placed my order through DoorDash around 6:00 pm for shawarma platters, not wraps. Before the order arrived, I even called the restaurant to confirm they were the correct branch, and I was told yes.
When the delivery arrived, it was the wrong order. I was given shawarma wraps instead of platters, so I refused to accept it and asked the dasher to report it to DoorDash. The restaurant then spoke directly to the dasher, and a female staff member told me to leave the issue with them and that they would prepare a fresh order and deliver it themselves. I stayed calm and agreed.
However, despite this, the dasher marked the order as delivered and even took a partial photo while leaving. I immediately contacted DoorDash and clearly explained that I did not receive the order and asked them not to reorder it, as the restaurant had already committed to delivering it.
At around 7:15 pm, I called the restaurant to ask about my order. A male staff member answered and was extremely rude. He told me it would take another hour, and when I expressed frustration, he hung up on me. About ten minutes later, he called back, apologized, and said they would deliver the food. I agreed and waited.
The order finally arrived around 8:00 pm. When I opened it, the food quality was very poor. The beef was burnt, there was almost no sauce, and it was not enjoyable or properly prepared. I could not eat the meat and only ate some rice and hummus.
Shortly after, I experienced severe stomach pain, which made the situation even worse. Between the wrong order, false delivery confirmation, rude customer service, long delay, and poor food quality, this was an unacceptable experience. I genuinely regret ordering from this place and would strongly advise others to be cautious when ordering from Shawarma Passion.
