Dear Chipotle Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience I had at your Seton location. I am a regular customer and usually enjoy visiting Chipotle, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing.
I visited on a Friday evening when the restaurant was quite busy and waited about 10 minutes to reach the ordering counter. I completely understand that busy periods happen, so the wait itself was not an issue. However, the service I received once I began ordering was disappointing.
I ordered a bowl with a lettuce base and half rice. When I reached the chicken station, the portion I was given was very small. I politely asked if I could have a little more since the amount seemed quite limited. The employee responded that adding more would cost extra. After I asked again, she only added a very small additional piece of chicken, which still felt insufficient for what should be a normal portion.
When I proceeded to the payment counter, I attempted to ask the cashier a question about the price. Before I could even finish my sentence, the cashier cut me off and impatiently responded “yes,” which came across as dismissive and unprofessional.
I then paid with a $20 bill for a bowl that cost $13.66. The cashier gave me only $6.00 in change, even though the correct change should have been $6.66. Both the display on my side and the cashier’s screen showed that $6.66 should have been returned, but I did not receive the remaining $0.66.
While the missing amount itself is small, the overall experience with the service, portion size, and incorrect change left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. As a regular customer, I normally have good experiences, which is why this situation stood out to me.
I hope this matter can be reviewed and addressed. I would also appreciate it if some form of compensation, such as a complimentary item or meal, could be considered to make up for the experience.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely,
Justin
