  1 Star – Hypocrisy, intimidation, and a long history of misconduct I received a call from PNC Bank where they explicitly stated the call was being recorded. When my company informed the PNC executive that we would also be recording—for accuracy and protection—we were suddenly told that PNC policy prohibits them from being recorded. That is either a misrepresentation or an outright lie. You don’t get to demand unilateral recording power while denying it to the other party. That’s not professionalism; that’s intimidation. What makes this worse is that PNC’s behavior fits a documented pattern. PNC Bank has previously entered deferred prosecution and regulatory settlements related to illegal and improper conduct, including failures tied to compliance and oversight. The bank has also faced multiple lawsuits and enforcement actions alleging fraudulent and deceptive practices, resulting in substantial fines and settlements over the years. This isn’t speculation—it’s public record. So when a PNC executive hides behind “company policy” to avoid transparency, it raises serious red flags. If your practices can’t withstand mutual documentation, maybe the problem isn’t the recording—it’s the conduct. PNC presents itself as a trustworthy financial institution, but interactions like this suggest otherwise. Businesses should think carefully before dealing with a bank that demands accountability from others while refusing it themselves.

  My mother and I both had a great experience at the PNC Bank in Suncrest Towne Centre. The staff was friendly, patient, and professional. Lexi helped us open our accounts and explained everything clearly. She treated us with respect, took her time with us, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.   Needed to cash an insurance check in the amount of $6,409.80 so that I could go to a car lot and get another car. After searching for 2 days for a financial institution that would cash it without putting a weeks hold on it, this pnc branch was more than willing to accommodate me. Fast, friendly and dependable!!!
