- KWKaren WhalenFeb 27, 20231.0PNC's policy is to hold the customer 100% responsible for any loss due to identity theft, scams, etc. I see a review from 2018 where they worked with a customer after an unfortunate situation like this. I can guarantee you, they no longer do this. They will stick you with the entire bill. The "agents" read off a script and have no ability or desire to help. I am in the process of closing all of my accounts with PNC and hope to warn everyone else of their practices. Scammers target this bank and their customers, and the bank doesn't care if police reports are filed, or what happened, they just want their money and will hire a collections agency to get it from you. Do yourself a favor and don't use this bank.
