- KKKMar 12, 20261.0So tired of Banner Bank and their terrible customer service. Ive had my account with them for nearly 14 years but will be closing it soon. The last straw was calling this branch to seeing if they had pesos - they didnt but it was understandable since it was such short notice. But the person I spoke to said that Id still be able to use ATMs in Mexico so no problem. I get to Mexico and my card didnt work at a single ATM machine so I had to use my Chase card...which cost me $5 each time. Called the branch back today to essentially ask for them to cover the cost of the atm fees since thats the one "perk" of banner bank is having them waived. Instead, the person I spoke with said that she told me that I had to call a 1-800 to tell them I was going out of the country (she didn't) and then she said that it didn't really matter since Banner only waves two ATM transaction fees (a year? Ever?). Although I cant even remember the last time I used an ATM so it actually would have been nice to be credited those two transaction fees. Long story short - Im so disappointed in how Banner Bank has conducted their business the past few years and its clearly time to just fully transfer to a mainstream bank with better customer service.

I withdrew cash and needed change, but she educated me, telling me to use the ATM and then get the change in the bank. Customers’ experience is not this Banner Bank clerk’s priority. A gentleman usually works at the drive through, and he is more helpful than the lady.
