A few years ago, they called offering a new credit card with a lower interest rate. I accepted—then they slashed the limit on my original card to $500, which was absurd given my income and credit history. More recently, after I declined another sales pitch and mentioned that past issue, both of my paid-off cards were suddenly closed without notice. It felt like retaliation for not engaging with their constant sales tactics. A bank shouldn’t act like a pushy sales floor. PNC’s practices feel shady and vindictive.
