Zions Bank isn't just a bank. We're part of your community, your next door neighbor, with 150 years of history behind every transaction and community investment. We offer access to ATMs throughout Utah, Idaho, and eight other states. We provide financial resources, wealth management solutions, mortgage services, and more. We deliver solutions from real people — people who haven't forgotten who keeps us in business.
It took me over 3 years to shut down my bank account with Zion, I zero the balance, and I told them not to let any new transactions through, they would let the odd subscription overdraft the account and then charge me a ridiculous overdraft fee. No other bank does this, if you close the account they won't reopen it if something like a Netflix subscription goes through, they will bounce it, and Netflix would shut down your subscription. Zions Bank, they will keep reopening your account without consent even after you've closed it, so you have to make sure you don't have any automatic subscriptions or any other charges going through that routing number otherwise they will reopen it and act like their hands are tied. In fact they won't even call you or make it clear that your account has been reopened and that they are charging overdraft fees,
Then when you try to close it again they will charge you and say they can't close it unless you balance it out to zero. This is a manipulative organization.

Absolutely awful customer service at this branch. They didn’t even acknowledge us until 10 minutes of standing there. We wanted to open an account but after ANOTHER 20 minutes of waiting we left. Don’t waste your time folks!

Very bad experience. Liz is a personal banker but not a personable banker. She was very rude when I first arrived and didn't even acknowledge that I was there. When she did notice me after I asked if there was a personal banker she just rudely asked, "What do you need?" instead of "How can I help you?" and then the rest of the time she tried helping me out as if she hated her job.
