I got a reimbursement check from my employer and wanted to cash it so I went to the bank it was drawn on, Zions. They said since it was over $50 they could NOT do it without charging me. Worst lousy policy I can imagine from a bank to refuse to honor a check their customer had written. BTW the check was from a large government entity so it was not like the check was likely to be no good. I stopped banking with these guys years ago and I remember why.
