- DMDale McKinzieJul 24, 20265.0There are multiple reasons why you should be at TDECU rather than a bank. 1. You get interest on the money you have in both your savings AND your checking. 2. They go out of their way to help you out. The only time this did not happen for me was when I went in for a mortgage and the same guy called me twice to tell me I wasn't getting it lol. But that was their mortgage location off of Navarro not a branch. 3. Your money is protected. You can do things like travel alerts either on the app or website which I use a lot. Also pause usage if you temporarily lose a card. 4. Everybody is very friendly
