  I guess Amegy is bad off now......been with them going on almost 20 years. I have 3 accounts with them, all in the positive, even financed my old truck through them. Never had an account in the negative. Never over drawn. Always been a great customer with my checks always direct deposited.....but I guess none of that matters. I came in the lobby today to cash and deposit my FEMA check. Lady says nope. Can't do it. OK. Then give me a few hundred and deposit the rest, nope. Can't do that. We can only deposit it. We don't know if it's fake. All of the 3 accounts combined, I have several thousand dollars in this establishment. I've done enough business with them over the last 2 decades that at least a high 6 figure to 7 figure amount of money has been deposited and bills paid with them. I say all that to say this...It was a government check drawn on the United States Treasury. Had the envelope and all the accompanying paperwork. It's nice to know my bank does not trust me or the government. Now it just sucks because I now have to find another bank because Amegy must not have cash on hand to cover Government Issue Disaster Assistance Checks. Really sad. Nothing like having trees fall on your house, waiting for help for a whole month and the financial institution you use says they do not trust you or the United States Government.

  This is our bank for more than thirty years now, since it was Southwest Bank. Very nice people and very professional.

  Never using Amegy bank again for their shady practices and mysterious fees. Was not upfront about said fees. Stole my money will report to BBB
