On July 7 2026. I have an appointment for the car loan.. So I talk to one of an employee and I give his all my information and my credit score is 837 and I need a loan for $14,000 for Tesla 2018 with 131,000 miles.
And he checked my credit and he took from my credit score 11 points just to check my credit and he say you’re gonna receive the phone call after three or four hours if you are prove it or not.
And I received a phone call from the guy and he say your loan is denied because we don’t give a loan for Tesla over 75,000 miles is only we give a loan under 75,000 miles and he didn’t explain on spot and he took my 11 points from my credit score.
And when he call me, I ask him to explain me why he just hang up the phone on me.
I’m Very, very shame on you guys I don’t know what kind of customer service you have for me. You are under zero..

I became a member of Credit Union of North Texas because I wanted a secondary account, not my primary banking account. When I opened the account, Daniel Trevino helped me with the setup. During the process, he explained the Withdrawal Privilege Pay program, which allows transactions to go through when there are insufficient funds, with a $35 fee charged for each transaction.
I specifically told him that I did not want this service and did not want to be enrolled in it. I expected that if there were insufficient funds in my account, my card would simply be declined.
Since this is not an account I use regularly and I do not have direct deposits going into it, I do not check it often. A few weeks ago, I discovered that multiple transactions had been approved despite insufficient funds, and I had accumulated a large amount of overdraft fees. This was a complete surprise because I had clearly declined participation in the program when I opened the account.
What has made this situation even more frustrating is the lack of customer service. I have called multiple phone numbers associated with Credit Union of North Texas and repeatedly waited on hold for more than 10 minutes without reaching anyone. I sent emails, messages, and text messages before finally receiving a call back. During that call, I was told they could only refund some of the fees and that I should visit a branch in person.
I then scheduled an appointment specifically with Daniel Trevino, since he was the employee who opened my account and I wanted to discuss what happened. When I made the appointment, I clearly explained the reason for my visit. Conveniently, when I arrived, I was told that Daniel had left early that day. The employee at the front desk told me there was nothing she could do and instructed me to contact customer service online, despite the fact that I had already spent days trying unsuccessfully to get a response through those channels.
Since then, I have continued calling, emailing, and sending messages, but I have not received any meaningful follow-up. My concerns are being ignored, and no one seems willing to take responsibility for what happened. Instead of addressing the issue directly, I feel like I am being sent in circles.
I am writing this review because it appears to be the only way to get someone's attention. I am genuinely concerned about how this situation has been handled and disappointed by the lack of communication and accountability. The email address associated with this review is the same email address associated with my CUTX account, so the organization should have no difficulty contacting me if they are interested in resolving this matter.

Highly recommend! Heather Carullo was absolutely amazing! She took the time to answer all of my questions clearly and provided incredibly fast, professional, and helpful support.
This is exactly what top-tier customer service looks like. If you need someone who is efficient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, I highly recommend reaching out to Heather. Outstanding service!

Have been a member since 1977 and family longer. First time at the Eldorado location on 6-8-2026 and Daniel Trevino was very professional in handling the account changes. This is my forth location I have visited. Would recommend Credit Union of TX formally Dallas Teachers Credit Union. Their auto loan rates are very competitive.
Hope this review finds you well informed,
Dallas B.

As a fellow business owner it pains me to have to leave such a review of my experience but I have experienced Horrible customer service!! I refinanced a car with them and was told about a sign up bonus on opening up a new account after having qualified transactions. After completing the qualifying transaction and waiting months for my sign up bonus I never received it and then when I called to claim it they told me that the transactions did not qualify (I had verified with the banker several times before opening to verify, and they did not stick to their word even if it was a mistake, which is something I have to do every time in my business) and that I was out of the window to earn it. I asked to address with management and never heard back, meanwhile they charged me steep fees every month to keep the account open that I did not need. Management never got in contact with me and I had also asked them to close the account so I don’t keep getting charged fees. They never closed the account and continued to charge fees and I have yet to hear from any management as requested. I truly was excited to build a relationship with this credit union as I am a business owner and wanted to expand our relationship beyond this deal. This series of terrible customer service has left a very bad taste in my mouth and am a lost customer. I would not do business with them again. Thanks for your attention to my experience with them.
