She was incredibly patient, kind, and reassuring throughout a process that was honestly very stressful for me. I was filing my 2024 and 2025 taxes late, which was already stressful enough, but I was also dealing with graduate school complications. When I first came in, I was extremely emotional. Yvette and I faced challenge after challenge while trying to get everything filed. At one point, I was so overwhelmed that I literally could not stop the tears. I’m sure she was wondering, “Is this girl okay?” 😂 Despite everything, Yvette remained calm, patient, and reassuring. We spent about an hour and a half at the office that first day, but unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in getting my taxes filed because of issues with the system. Even so, Yvette did everything she could to help, including assisting me with getting refunds for two pieces of software I had mistakenly downloaded. Before I left, she scheduled our next appointment for the following morning so we could come back and hit the ground running. Day 2: I’ll admit, I was a little nervous walking back in because of stress from the day before. However, the staff and security were kind and welcoming and led me back to Yvette. Things started off a little rocky again because I had to create a new account and use a different phone number. The IT girl help as well to guide me through the account system. It was a whole process! But once again, Yvette was incredibly patient, kind, and reassuring. We worked through everything together and were finally able to get all of my documentation entered into the new account. Yvette completed both my 2024 and 2025 tax returns. I arrived around 10:00 a.m., and we worked together for about an hour and a half before I had to leave for a work call. Yvette told me she would call me around 1:30 p.m. and she did! We finished the remaining steps through screen sharing and were finally able to complete and file both of my tax returns. Yvette, thank you so much! I know I was stressed, emotional, but you never made me feel like I was a burden. You were patient, compassionate, and determined to help me get through the process. I truly appreciate everything you did for me. You turned what started as an incredibly stressful experience (literally I just think anything regarding the government is stressful) into one that ended with me feeling relieved and supported.
