  We tried to open a business account and the banker asked us about our immigration status only for our ethnicity, we are American citizens, in this bank they are very disrespectful and racist

  I have been a bank ozk customer for years- specifically at locations in Arkansas. I just moved and claimed this as my new location and Never in my life have I received horrible customer service like this. I’ll be honest. I over drafted once for the first time ever and there is record of this on my file. I called to get more information and to see if I had any options and might I add I was very pleasant. Idk his name he did not tell me- but an older male began to tell me that he could see my age and that because I am young I am not smart enough to know how a bank works. He then was defensive and rude to me because I had questions. He kept saying “it’s just the rules” so I asked for clarification of said rules and he was immediately defensive. I personally feel like I was talked down to because of my age and my gender. Be aware of the older men working here. I now have to bring my husband or mother to be taken seriously. I will be closing all my accounts that are in great standing. And moving banks to where I am respected regardless of my age or gender. Please talk to people with respect
