    I banked at this location for over 2 years and moved lots of money in and out of my checking account with them. I had direct deposit enrollment with them but only a portion of my check because capital one gave me so many benefits and free money to start a checking account with them as long as I had direct deposit deposit enrollment with them of at least $500 every 2 weeks, so I put $1000 in capital one and the remainder in Amegy every 2 weeks. Capital one does not ever charge me overdraft fees and they cover charges for me up to $500 which is awesome and my check hits my account 2 days earlier than it does with Amegy. Amegy does not do that, not only do they charge overdraft fees, they will go in and doctor up your ledger and move charge dates around so that the ledger would read that they actually covered several charges that I did not have the funds to cover. This made no sense because all the charges were debit and they were taken out of my account immediately as well as the merchant received them immediately and it reflected this on both parties online sites. They would try to justify this by saying that these debit charges charges were pending for 5 days and this was with several merchants that are well known like Amazon and farmers insurance company. The first time they did this in February I called about it and said I had no problem paying one overdraft fee because they did cover that one but they needed to reverse the other, they promised they would and said it would take up to 48 hours to reflect on my ledger balance. I wait 3,4,5,6 days, then a week and 2 weeks and it was never reversed and the money was never put back in my account. Well 3 months later they did it again and I called and wanted an explanation as to why they felt like they had covered 2 charges because that was not the case, only one was covered for my Verizon monthly phone bill for $280. They hung up on me for no reason, I wasn’t telling, cussing or being rude to them, I was just upset because it’s so frustrating and uncalled for and you feel like your being stolen from and taking advantage of. The person on the customer service line said that they understood my concerns but I did not qualify for a overdraft fee reversal that I would have to go into the branch and speak with the branch manager and they should do it no problem. Well Saturday morning I got up and went to the branch and asked to speak with the manager and proceeded to explain to her what went on in February and now the same thing again and that I had no problem paying one but this time I refuse to pay for 2 because they did not cover 2 separate charges. If they weren’t able to do this I was going to close my account. She did not care at all and tried saying that debit charges can take up to week to process which is total bs. Then I said “so you’re not going to reverse the one charge” she told me “NOPE” because the bank did not making any errors. I put my debit card on the desk and said close my account please and walked out while they were all talking shif to us. Worst banking experience of my short 45 year old life. I’m just absolutely in awe that $29 was worth them losing me as a customer for life! They just showed that valued me NONE. I would strongly advise against opening an account with them business or personal or doing any kind of banking with them whatsoever unless you like getting manipulated, stole from, and lied to.
