I think they did that because I fell under the old clause from their old bank were I didn't have to have direct deposit with no maintenance fees or direct deposits. Just kept it open in case I was in town and needed a bank. I'm good with just having Navy federal

I've had about 3 different banks in the last 4 years and each one has had some type overdraft protection by blocking card transactions from putting you in the negative. My stepfather racked up over 500 dollars in overdraft fees via this issue over the course of 2 days.
